- SUMMARY:
-
- Provide customer training on products, with emphasis on C++ data
- structures, relational database access, and Motif.
-
- Prepare course materials as needed and tune existing materials for
- specific customer circumstances. Collaborate with product engineering
- in order to improve course content and improve the clarity of the
- standard manuals.

- Provide consulting to customers using company products. As a
- consultant, responsibility shall include technical definition of the
- scope of the work, project completion within the appropriate time
- frame, and communication of progress and the results.

- Collaborate with engineering where appropriate in order to help get
- standard products get to market more quickly, be more portable, better
- designed, better implemented and more widely applicable to the
- marketplace.

- In both roles, emphasize customer satisfaction.

- JOB DUTIES:
-
- Work with training coordinator to provide training courses to
- customers. Work alone and with engineering to improve and supplement
- existing course materials.

- Define technical scope of consulting projects, adapt project
- definition to meet changing circumstances and evolving understandings,
- and deliver identifiable benefits to the customer.

- Advise customers on the use of products. Write, test and debug
- software related to customer's needs. Report progress on a regular
- basis. Identify and report new business and development opportunities.
- Available for travel. Can be based out of Mountain View, CA, Chicago,
- Atlanta or New York. Possibly also Denver.

- SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
-
- Knowledge of C++, products and object oriented concepts.

- Organizational skills relevant to classroom logistics and course
- presentation.

- Good communication skills; ability to interact with customers.
-
- Knowledge of the technology relevant to the client's environment.
-
- Cross-platform development.
-
- Ability to critique other people's work in a constructive and
- productive way.

- EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
-
- MS or Ph.D. are desirable. BS or equivalent required.
- At least 8 years of experience in software development. At least 2
- years of experience in object oriented design and C++ programming.
